Funny thing, even though it said the table didn't exist, the plugin was still posting to my Xanga account. Anyway, I've just figured out what the problem was: My server recently upgraded to mySQL 5. I'd already converted the database but, unfortunately, didn't realize "localhost" still pointed to my mySQL 4. I converted the old database again and changed the host setting in "wp-config.php" and everything seems to be working now.

Are you sure that you created the table in the right database? I ask because I have move than one install of Wordpress on my server. I use a separate one for testing.

You could go into phpMyAdmin and open your Wordpress database. Verify that there really is a table called xanga_wp_post_map.

My Croissanga version is 1.2.7, but I don't see why that should matter unless the new version has a bug. Does your error message include any other information?

Ken, thanks for posting this. I got the tables created with no problem. However, when I tried publishing a post, I got errors saying the table "databaseName.xanga_wp_post_map" does not exist. I didn't change anything in the plugin except to enter my Xanga user details. I'm running Wordpress 2.0.4 and Croissanga 1.2.9.

I realize you're not the plugin's author, but perhaps you can help me.

[...] I found this cool new plugin that allows me to post simultaneously on www.servingbread.net and on www.xanga.com/EddyE (yes, I have a xanga account). This is useful to be connected to blogrings on the popular xanga site, but to route it all through my own website. Get the croissanga plugin and make sure to follow these instructions.
I'm glad that they were helpful!

Your site does not display correctly in Firefox. The title in the sidebar comes out on top of the menu. (I just thought you would want to know.)
